Components : Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate

Properties & Stability:

• Highly soluble in water and suitable for aqueous systems
• Best performance in acidic formulations
• Limited solubility in oils
• Stable under proper storage conditions, but sensitive to high pH
• May require combination with other preservatives for broader antimicrobial protection

pH Range:

Typically effective in acidic range (2.5 – 6.5)

Usage Percentage:

0.2 – 0.8% depending on formulation and preservation needs

Applications:

• Hair care: shampoos, rinse-off products
• Skin care: toners, gels, light lotions
• Cleansers: micellar water, facial wash
• Natural formulations and herbal-based products
• Baby care products (mild systems)

Notes:

• Works best in low pH formulations
• Often used as part of a preservative system, not always sufficient alone
• Suitable for “paraben-free” and “formaldehyde-free” formulations
